Thanks, I know it is vague just was hoping it would give me a leg up on some marriages! Trouble is my info is just a bit vague-know a couple of names an area and can guestimate the years to within 10 so it is still in the early stages!!! And Ancestry is being no hrlp at all!!!!!! Many thanks, Sineadxxx

Carol I know about the 1851 thanks. I know my relatives were in Glos at that time, I just can't find them on this site!!!! nell

Just a tip: the others are right that Pallots doesn't tell you very much (even when it's working on Ancestry!), but it DOES give you the marital status of the bride and groom, which can be useful. Happy Hunting Sarah

Helen, the 1851 Gloucestershire is online if that is any help. It is linked from Genuki, and Gordons site which is mycensuses with the usual prefix and suffix. I think that Gloucestershire 1861 has been added to 1837online as well.

As Helen says, the Pallots image doesn`t give you much information. It is just a small square with the persons` names and the year. I have just looked and it seems that all the Pallots images are missing. What names and areas are you looking for?

I know the feeling only too well. Have just been looking for my Gloucestershire relatives on 1837online in 1861 and they have disappeared! But Pallots won't give you anything much, just the names of the people married and the church & date. The image will just be the same info, only handwritten. nell
