hi all, some of you helped me yesterday with a computer problem, well, now i have another!!!! i've lost one of my photo's! i've been to the search programme and couldn't find it there,i've tried everything i can think of to find it even the recycle bin with no luck! i really want to find this photo as it's one of my dad as a baby he was born1925, so you can imagine the old type it is,he was dressed in a crotchet frock!!! which i believe they dressed boys in frocks in those days!!! i've only just scanned it on to my PC and now i can't find it!and i'm really upset about it,he died when i was 14,that's 40 years ago!! luckily i did print a copy,so was able to scan it back on,but i really wanted the originall. can anyone help? chris.

Did you search on 'All files and Folders' in your Local Hard Drives? Anna

Have you searched for it by date created/amended? Beth :)

click on My Documents. Look in that for the photo, did you name it? If you did 'name' it, go to 'Start', 'Search' 'files & folders' and type in the name and it should find it. Failing that look in, My Photo's, or Shared Documents, anything, as it has to be in one folder or another. Hope you find it Kim

You say you have only just scanned it so you know when it was. Follow Kims advice but instead of entering a file name go to the date modified section and type in the dates. The results will show every file made or changed during that period so check all possible from that list Beth :)

Try scanning in another photo as the one you have lost may be hidden in a folder within you scanning software package. When you have scanned in your new photo it should take you to an album of all the scanned files you have created. Search for it there. It will not move from there unles you give it a specific address (a location with a folder). Victor

When you go to Search , Cloick on 'All files and Folders' DONT enter a name in either of the boxes but just go straight to SEARCH and click. You will get EVERY(and I mean that) file on your disc. I've found missing items that way!! Jane
