Hi Everyone, i trying to find my Grandfathers birth certificate but he was born in Trieste in Italy in 1896. I think however Trieste in 1896 was actually Austrian . Though he has an Italian passport. Does anyone know where i would write to, to get his records. Also does anyone know where i would be able to get internment records as he was interned in Britain during world war 2 until 1941. Any help would be appericated. |

I know a couple of weeks ago there was a post about Ukranian birth certs and the person seemed to e-mail the GRO here for information. I think the best way to proceed would be to contact the Italian embassy. Pippa |
