cannot find the birth of grandmother

Debbie You will need the reference similar to the one I gave you earlier, with this you can order birth marriage and death certificates Victor

You will need the quarter (as well as the year) to order the cert for £7.

my grandmother was called gertrude smart and i know she was born in 1912 in brighton sussex but i can find no trace of her apart from her marriage and death i have looked on free bmd and ancestry.co but no luck anyone have any ideas where to look now ? debbie
