I would like to know how to find my fathers birth mother. Her name was Sheila Veronicca Martin nee Bothwell. It would seem that she was a married lady who already had an older daughter (maureen), My father (Robert Martin) was given up for adoption in 1945, I know that Sheila stayed with friends in the sheffild area whilst the adoption took place. I is believed that Sheila is now living in Plymouth, her surname may have changed yet again. Other than this I know she had another son named Graham Martin. I am at a bit of a stand still and thought some one may be able to give me help on what to do next? Thank you. Michelle

Not exactly a tip, and not what you are going to want to hear but... Adoption is often shrouded with secrecy. Is it really fair to put up all those names, people may well know of these people and has the potential cause lots of heartache. Could you be a little more discrete? Jess
