Printing old negatives

I have been given about 20 individual negatives, 6cm by 9cm each. They are from around the 1920's early 30's and obviously very delicate. Can anyone suggest the best place to take them to be printed before they get to damaged by age and are lost forever.

You obviously dont just drop them off at your local chemist Have a look in Yellow Pages for a specialist in old photographs What part of the country are you?

Im in Basingstoke ,Hants. I asked at Jessops in town who looked slightly dubious to me and wanted alot to print, which is understandable but I did want them looked after.

If you have a scanner, even an older one, scan them in, and with a photo program you can 'Invert' them to see what is on them, then print them yourself, onto glossy photo paper And Then decide if you want, a 'proper' job done on them Bob

If you can get to a Family History Fair there is often a photographer at these who has experience with old photographs. Ann Glos
