I am currently trying to find my paternal grandfather. His name was Ronald ward and he was a canadian soldier serving in Banstead Surrey, where he met my grandmother, Violet Collins. They had a relationship which resulted in the birth of my father. He knew my grandmother was pregnant but she never heard from him again and to this day doesn't know whether he was killed or survived during world war II. I have written to the National Archives in Canada giving them as much information as I have but they could not find anything. Could anyone please have any ideas on what I could do next in my search? |

www.cwgc.(org) remove brackets There are links on this site Jennifer to a Canadian site. (scroll down left side of page + click links) 'who served and gave their lives for Canada, the web site has a searchable database and the facility for members of the public to contribute to the memorial by submitting images, letters and other memorabilia.' Might be worth a look. Ann |
