With great difficulty !. The o'Connell name is most often found in Westmeath, the O'connell's were of Scotch origin. Also you will find that on Baptisms the surname is sometimes just 'Conn'. If you know the Townland they came from then this will give you your best chance of finding your rellies. If you dont, I would suggest that you just type in the name of the person you are looking for in ''s and then put Ireland. You never know, you may be lucky and find which Townland they were from. From my own research you need the Townland, without it you are facing an almost impossible task, especially is the first names are 'Mary' or 'William'. Good luck |
