Hi all, I'm looking for any info on the following Camberwell surnames in my family - Sally, Hayes and Fitzgerald. I was born in Camberwell (a Sally) and would be interested to hear from anyone who remembers Waterloo Square (flats) off Camberwell Green, Potters Ice Cream Shop also off the Green, York Mansions (flats) in Southampton Way, and also St Josephs School in Wyndham Way. I think all but the school have now been pulled down. When I used to play out in the '60s, we use to play amongst the bombsites which still hadn't been cleared from the war! When I told my husband this many years later he couldn't believe that so many sites like this hadn't been cleared even into the 70s. Ah...memories of childhood.....! Best wishes, Brenda
