Bigbury Mint do replacements as do a company called Award Productions. Be warned though - they can cost up to £50 each by the time you have added on engraving and mounting. eMail me if you want the site addresses. Regards. Keith |

I have just tried to get replacement medals for my father in law for my husband. They do not replace them. Only if there were stolen in a burglary and you have to have the crime number and the insurance details. I did get replacements from Canada for my father's uncle who was a Barnardos boy, they were free. I was impressed with the service. Might have a chance if you look at the medalfinder's site. Gwyn I don't know the answer, but I imagine they don't replace medals that have already been given, otherwise they would be issuing thousands of duplicates. You can check on the medal roll index on the Nat archives site to see which medals he should have received. nell |

Can anyone tell me please how I can obtain my grandfathers medals from w.w.1. I don`t know wether he received them when demobbed, but if he did ,and they are lost in the mists of time would they give me duplicates?I have his army no. etc. many thanks Gwyn |
