St Geo Southwark is probably equally seedy. But St Geo Hanover Square is very posh and famous for society weddings. Royalty tend to use their own private chapel at Windsor, or for big occasions Westminster Abbey/St Paul's. nell

The church of St. George in the East with its 160 ft tower, was built in 1714-29 to the designs of Nicholas Hawksmoor, and created a seperate parish from Stepney. as opposed to St Geo Southwark & St Geo Hanover Sq. nell
