Hi is there anywhere to look for marriages taken place in scotland? thanks

Hi there www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk have marriages 1855 to 1928 pay per view site but not expensive and you can view the actual cert on line. Also have pre 1855 OPR marriages plus births and deaths. And censuses 1871/1881/1891/1901 Happy hunting. Regards Ellen.

If you're looking pre-1855 look on Family Search first, because it is free and usually you get the same info from there as you do from Scotland's People. But if it is 1855 or after, you will need to look on Scotland's People and you will be able to download the actual certificate. Kate.

Im actually looking for a marriage that took place around 1958-59, wish it was earlier though cause that site looks excellent

I know what you mean the site is good but marriages only go to 1929 only way is get in touch with Edinburgh register office they might give advice on how to get newer certificates or ask some nice person to go to office. I got my grans it cost me £13 but they did it right there on to a proper certificate
