Can someone out there suggest something to help me find details about my grandfather and grandmother. My family are being less than helpful (no skeletons in closets as far as I am aware!) and with most of the offspring either departed or not replying to requests I am getting nowhere fast! Arthur Ernest Mitchell m. Rose Carter 1925. I have the birth cert. Cannot find the fathers of grandparents on 1901 census's. With little info I had, I applied for birth cert. for Rose Carter. Came back with different christian name of father(different occupation so I am guessing wrong Rose!) I have no idea what to do now and applying for certs. is proving expensive. Can anyone suggest anything that I have not thought of please? I am getting desperate! Thanks Debbie |
