Harrison - missing marriage

Any suggestions as to how I can find the marriage of my great grandparents. Grandfather Thomas Harrison born in Reepham, Lancashire c1836 and Grandmother Amelia Fisher born in London or Retford depending on which census you read c1841. They married c1859 but not sure whether it was Lincolnshire, London or Nottinghamshire but their first child was born in Everton, Lincolnshire in 1860 so I'm guessing they were married in this county. No luck so far with Retford Register office or GRO. - any tips appreciated - Kath

Thomas will be on the same page, I guess he just isn't transcribed yet. you could send for the cert specifying that he should be the groom, to ensure you get the right one. nell

I checked 1837online and, yes, Thomas Harrison has the same vol and page number. (safer to check and spend 10p than to ask the GRO for a reference check - had he not been the missing groom, that would have cost you £3) Sarah
