There are the 'Slaters' directories on www(.)historicaldirectories(.)org for 1850s/60s/70s/80/90s and 1900 & 1910 I haven't looked at these but others, and found them very useful for looking up trades people and street names, they are much like the directories of today, only more interesting because you may find a long lost ancestor in one.Good Luck Heather

I have just been on British Archive Data with a view to buying Lancashire 1841 and 1851. There is also a Lancashire Slaters Directory for 1855. Does anyone know what this contains as it doesn't seem to give any info on it. Gloria x
