Sorry, not a tip on the tips board but I had to tell someone and I knew you'd all understand how excited I am!!!!!!! Just found some living rellies on a line I have been trying to find for a while. Been in contact for a week or so and have just received a phonecall saying they have unearthed my 'Sandals' Family Bible going back over 100 years and he's going to give it to me!!!!! Oh I am so excited!!!!!!!! That's been a dream of mine for a long time!!! Better add my tip so I don't get deleted: Find all those living rellies as you don't know what info you will come across, Happy Caz x

I can imagine how you feel as I too have been given a family bible since contacting distant relatives. In truth it didn't have that much family info. written in it but it's just lovely to be able to treasure a family heirloom.

Well I live in hope that it contains lots of info and photo's but as you say just to have that in your possession is amazing whatever the content. I can't believe they're willing to part with it. But some people are only interested in their tree if they carry their actual surname which is bizarre to me as even the blood rellies that don't share the same surname are just as related as them! My gain ay?!!! Carol
