this is the family i have but can not trace them back any further 1841 census thomas tonkin head 30 shipwright paul cornwall ann tonkin wife 30 (nee hichens) ' ' nanny tonkin daughter 8 ' ' thomas tonkin son 6 ' ' john tonkin son 4 ' ' philip tonkin son 2 ' ' they lived navy inn street paul cornwall. i know thye had another 3 children james (9) in 1851 elizabeth (6) in 1851 oben (1) IN 1851. i know oben went to melbourne in 1880's on the ss orient. by 1891 his wife and children lived back in uk oben jnr born australia.but in this census oben senior doesn't appear and wife not down as widow. any help on oben or thomas senior would be gratefully appreciated. regards lizz |
