Royal Navy rank on death cert?

I have my gg grandfather's death cert from 1939. He was 85. His occupation is given as 'Pensioned Marine RMLI'. Was wondering what the RMLI stood for, and also if I would be able to find out about this pension he received? Chloe

Hi RMLI stand for Royal Marine Light Infantry Up until 1923 the Royal Marines where split into 2. RMLI and RMA Royal Marine Artillery Malcolm
