Royal Navy rank on death cert?

I have my gg grandfather's death cert from 1939. He was 85. His occupation is given as 'Pensioned Marine RMLI'. Was wondering what the RMLI stood for, and also if I would be able to find out about this pension he received? Chloe |

Hi RMLI stand for Royal Marine Light Infantry Up until 1923 the Royal Marines where split into 2. RMLI and RMA Royal Marine Artillery Malcolm |
