Thank you for looking Brenda but I don't have anything else to go on. The IGI lists four children, one of them, Caroline, is my great great grandmother. By 1841 Caroline had moved to the midlands and later to the manchester area. I have nothing at all on her parents and was hoping to find them on the 1851 census to discover where they were born. Of course it is possible they had already died. Thank you for looking Joan |

I can find neither William nor Joanna in 1851, if the dates you have given are correct. There is a William aged 39, living with a Jane aged 40 at HO 107/1657/458, but this is presumably the next generation. Were your Bishops still in Portsmouth in the C20th? One of my great aunts married a Bishop. |

I'm trying to find out more information about Joanna and William Bishop who lived in Portsea Island Hampshire. Their children were born 1810-1820. Think I have found Joannas death in 1856. If anyone has the 1841 or 1851 census could you look then up. Thank you Joan |
