I have a Glasgow Weekly Mail newspaper, 1902, published Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paisley & Greenock. It has always been in my Grandads wallet. I think it was kept for a reason, and I would like to know what. The trouble is, because its been folded over and over, it is now ripped and most of it is unreadable. As anyone any suggestions. (no rude ones please) Ann

I would think there is somewhere on the internet where you could view or buy another newspaper from this era? The only thing I can think of is to try Googling it? Good luck Kaye x

Hi, The Collindale Library (part of the British Library) has copies of every newspaper published in the UK. You have to go yourself or hire a researcher to get what you need, though. Gwynne

I wonder if anyone living in Glasgow could help. Most local reference libraries have copies of their old papers on microfilm so anyone can pop in and get copies. All it costs is the price of a photocopy Jane

Thanks for your suggestions. Have tried the internet, no luck with that one. Cant get to Collinwood Library to view, so will have to think about that one. It would be nice if someone in Glasgow could do that, I would send whatever it cost. The sad thing is, that I have family in Glasgow, but since the death of my Mother, the only contact we have, is if I phone. Sorry to say, it wears a bit thin after a while. Ann Could some kind person who lives in Glasgow help. I have been in touch with my cousin, but she said she hasn't got the time.
