I have just received my Grandfather’s Militia Attestation and it appears that, not only did he desert after twenty nine days but six months later he was discharged for felony. This all happened in 1905/6. I wonder if anyone could tell me where to look for the details of his crime which I am led to believe will still exist, somewhere. He was in the 6th Battalion Middlesex Regiment. Thank you for your help Janet |

Hi Janet, If you write to the Middlesex Regiment, I am sure they would help. If you want to look at that Regiment on line, just enter the name and you will see quiet a few sites relating to it. Ann |
