Help needed with WW1 photograph

I have inherited a photograph of the Royal Marine Light Infantry, Walmer Castle Kent, 13th Short Service squad (1916). I believe that this photograph might contain a picture of either my grandfather and/or my Great uncle who died in 1916. Is there any way that I can find out who the members of this squad were, I am looking particularly for a Ernest George Humpheryes or Albert Humpheryes. Thanks Ian

Ian, I would think the only to identify if they COULD be on this photo ,is to see if any service records/medal records exist for there people;;in this regiments name.... kay.

Hi Ian, just revisted the national archive site again, to pull off the info you requested. But please be careful as this may not be the person you are searching for. you wll required to do further research. Do you live any where near KEW ? if so it would pay for you to vist the national archives in person. This is what i have found and may be your Grandfather Medal card of Humpheryes, George Ernest Corps Regiment No Rank Royal Field Artillery L/21377 Bombardier Royal Field Artillery L/21377 Serjeant

Hello Again Ian You mentioned that your great uncle died in 1916, I have had no luck on the War Graves Commisson they to locate where and when he died. Can not locate a single 'Humpheryes' I guess this could be to name varations. I am off to the National archives of the next couple of days, I i get time from my own research I will see what i can find for you, but please dont build your hopes, up as I am struggling to locate both my Great grand fathers in the records Regards John
