Hi Molly Just looked on Amazon and in the edition for £40.97 (collectors edition) you get: 12 CD-ROM SET 1 Year Free Subscription to Ancestry(.)com's* OneWorldTree 30 Day Free Subscription to Ancestry(.)com's* UK and Ireland Records Collection Printed Manual 11 UK Data CDs; English Parish Records, Scottish Parish Records, 1851 Census (selected Records), British Chancery Vol.1 & Vol. 2, Pallot's Marriage Index. Pallot's Baptism Index, Cambridge University Alumni and the 1891 London Census The Deluxe edition at £26.99 you get: 6 CD-ROM SET 30 Day Free Subscription to Ancestry(.)com's* UK and Ireland Records Collection 30 Day Free Subscription to Ancestry(.)com's* OneWorldTree Printed Manual 5 UK Data CDs; English Parish Records, Scottish Parish Records, 1851 Census (selected Records), British Chancery Vol.1 & Vol. 2 There is no difference between the Ancestry(.) c o m subscriptions. They are both for 30 days. You do get a few extra CDs in the collector’s edition, but would it be worth paying extra for them. If you go back to the Amazon site and scroll down the page, there are revues about these items from people who have bought them. Hope this helps Jackie |

Hi Molly I have an old version of Family Tree Maker that came with a set of 8 cds but most of the info is American based so not very useful to me. I would check if the discs on offer would be useful to you and also check that the one-year thingy is for Ancestry data and not the One World Tree. Heather |

Hi, where is it at 12 discs plus a years subs? That would def be the best bargain as I paid about £70 for a years sub only. You dont need the book really, most of us muddle along without it and everyone on here will try to help if you get foxed. |

Hi Molly If you type ftm2005 in the tips board search box (above the thread section)......you will find there are a few threads about this. I was going to bump up for you but it's better if you have a look as they may answer any questions/reservations you have Ann |

FTM 2005 is priced £29.90 for 6 discs + so many days subs to Ancestry .com BUT for £69.99 12 discs I would get a years subs to Ancestry .com (This is on amazon at £40.97 but i looked at the small print with a magnifying glass and I think the subs to Ancestry .com is only days 30.or90. ) It also said a Guide boo for £18.95 would explain how to install. Shouldn't that be included. Do I need 12 discs. To me the better buy is 12 disc @£69.99 + a years Sus to Ancestry .com. PC World. Oh What to do. Molly. |
