marriage certificate arrived this morning for my GG grandfather and his wife, 1901, her father William Pratt is down as a sailor? family think he may have been from sierra leone, have looked on LDS, but didnt find anything, Have I come to a standstill now? |

so you have his name and presumably his age,...and a fathers name? How long had he been in this country? any idea? Are they married on the 1901 census? do both of them show even if not married? jess |

Tracey Can you narrow it down a bit and I'll have a look for you. ie. how old was she when she married so I can try and work out how old William would be. Which county was she married in? Lyn |

Sarah Pratt was married in June 1901, age 24, to john richard roberts, her address of the time, placed her in Edward street, pwllheli, which all ties in, married in denio (think thats pwllheli) in the presence of what looks like susanna jane roberts, and a very unreadable name ? evan evans? that possible could be her mother? have no idea how long william was around for, or indeed they even married, hope that helps a bit, sarah would have been born in 1876/1877, and JR roberts 1876 I think |

could be her in 1901 Elizabeth Pratt Little abt 1899 Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire, Wales Granddaughter Denio Merionethshire William Pratt Little abt 1896 Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire, Wales Grandson Denio Merionethshire Mary Pratt abt 1857 Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire, Wales Head Denio Merionethshire Sarah Ann Pratt abt 1877 Birkenhead, Cheshire, England Daughter Denio Merionethshire address Edward St ** wonder who the Pratt-little's belong to? sorry nearly said the little pratts there! |

Jess, sorry have misread, are they all listed as living at Edward street, if so,its very probable as there were only about 4 or 5 houses, if my memory serves me right, heres hoping!! |
