No, sadly it doesn't usually do that. However sometimes the vicar recorded more than he was really required to do - you never know, you might be lucky. The witnesses are recorded from about 1800(?not sure of the date). They can be useful because they could be siblings or even parents. Anne

What about Marriages. Does it show the fathers names prior to 1837 on Parish Registers.

I think you can order the film at a Mormon family centre. Alternatively you can visit the county archives for the area in question and look on thier microfiche/film copies of parish records. There is sometimes useful extra information such as an occupation or whether from another parish. Also you get to see the burial records for the parish which are vital to your family history. Anne

If you find a ancestor on the family search website. Is it possible to get a copy of the parish register entry that you find and if so how would you go about it. Would you get anymore info than shown on the website. Advice would be appreciated.
