Kim This looks like Hannah's birth [Banbury reg. district includes Wardington] Name: EAVES, Hannah Record Type: Births Quarter: September Year: 1860 District: Banbury County: Northamptonshire Oxfordshire Warwickshire Volume: 3a Page: 593 As she would be about 20-21 in 1881 its quite likely she is married or living away from home. nell |

Well, this is a bit mysterious! Not your family, but Ancestry's transcription. I haven't found them in 1881 yet (Update, but Nell has, above), but moved on to 1891. I searched for Annie Eaves born abt 1868 and up popped this: Eaves, Annie M abt 1869 Wardington, Oxfordshire, England Daughter Birmingham Warwickshire So I clicked to view the page, but couldn't see Annie Eaves anywhere. Then I saw that the first person on the page had EXACTLY the same details as Annie, but with the surname Butcher. I clicked back to the previous sheet and the head of the household is your Mary Eaves (now a widow): Eaves, Mary abt 1839 Willeameaots, Oxford Head Birmingham Warwickshire So Annie M Eaves is married and her husband is there too, but Ancestry have done a wonder and transcribed Mrs Butcher as Miss Eaves!! Wonders will never cease!! This is their fantastic transcript of Annie's husband: (remember his name is Butcher really!) Buklur, William J abt 1869 Whampton, Stafford Son-in-law Birmingham Warwickshire I am going for a lie down now!! May return later....perhaps a stiff drink??? (Oh, I forgot the Tips Board is DRY isn't it lol) Sarah |

Hannah might be this person: Household Record 1881 British Census Name Relation Marital Status Gender Age Birthplace Occupation Disability Joseph CORBETT Head M Male 28 Leek Wotton, Warwick, England Farm Bailiff Annie CORBETT Wife M Female 22 B ham, Warwick, England Farm Bailiff Wife Sibly Annie CORBETT Daur Female 1 Hartlebury, Worcester, England Source Information: Dwelling Charlton Census Place Hartlebury, Worcester, England Family History Library Film 1341703 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 2935 / 70 Page Number 18 Hannah is sometimes turned into Annie and this one would be the right age. Although she is listed as born Oxon. in 1871 census, she was living in warwicks and people did get their place of birth confused. nell |
