Best to phone the library to ask if they have the year you are after. If you then say, 'Would that include such-and-such street?' you are more than likely going to have the librarian say, 'I don't know, I'll have a look' and you quickly say, 'Can you seen who was at number 23?' and before you know it they will have given you the answer!! I have found this technique works better than emailing them (though that can work too) as they don't have time to compose themselves to refuse to look for you!! Libraries don't get asked so many questions as Record Offices!! Good Luck Sarah |
