As your guy born c. 1805 surely the only way out is to visit the archive that holds the PRs for the area - not everything is online. |

I'm sure we all have them but what do we do about them? I mean those relatives who just seem to ellude our attempts to place them correctly in the family tree. I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this and what they have done? Is there a check list somewhere of things you should have done to try and find them? If not , why don't we create a check list here? We can start with the obvious things like : Ancestry.com Parish records (if you know a birth place) 1837 online (if they were born after 1837) and add a few lesser known things like rate books (if you know an area) held by libraries apprenticeship records (lots of ifs and buts involved here) I keep thinking there must be things I am not doing that I could but so far John Thomas Munro c 1805 has wriggled out of my reach |
