Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 828 Send Message	I recently recieved a marriage and it stated that in 1879 the groom was 32 which means he would be born in 1847 (about) but on the 1861 census he is 11 which would mean his birth was in 1850(about) Could this still be him? Also could a clerk have worked over seas say in brazil for example. Beacuse that is where he went after he was married. Thanks stephanie.

Ages are often approximate or just plain wrong - you may need to get certificates to establish whether you have the correct person. As to Brazil - it's certainly possible - could have been in the coffee trade or just a bit of an adventurer. happy hunting Sheila
