Thanks for looking i have the family living in Chipping Sodbury Gloucester in 1901,by then Christina was head of household so Joseph had either left or died. and Christina was born Guernsey not Gloucester (sorry) children Frank 1880 Mennie 1881 Clara 1883 Joseph 1884 Henry 1886 Frederika 1887 Hope this helps Nicky.x

The eldest child was born in Woolwich Kent perhaps they married there...1881 census there is a CHRISTINA SCHWARZ born 1854 Guernsey living 8 Station Rd Woolwich.She is married though to someone else a HENRY born 1856 Guernsey occ pork butcher and a son HENRY 1878 born Barrow in Furness. I thought perhaps her husband might have died as cant find a HENRY & CHRISTINA SCHWARZ together in 1891.No Christina and the Henry's are born in Germany.Looked for Henry born 1878 Barrow in Furness he is with HENRY SCHWARZ 1856 born Germany occ pork butcher with a wife PAULINE born 1866 Germany.Looking at the ages if Pauline is Henry's mother she would have to be 12 when he was born.OR Henry Schwarz 1856 has remarried and the German place of birth is a mistake. Wonder if CHRISTINA was pregnant with MENNIE/MINNIE born 1881.MINNIE EDWARDS born 1880 mar qt Chipping Sodbury. Perhaps if you get her birth cert it will tell you if her mother was married before.
