Hi Laird Well you have given a few more to ponder thanks so much. We have no information on our Trigg(s) family, it so puzzling. Granddad George 1880 was an only child a younger brother died soon after birth. Granddad died in WW1 1914, so we don't have anything that would give us any clues except a medal. One we are sure was not granddad as the one picture we have does not have him wearing it, its a stand a be sober medal, given for not drinking while in the Army. It has 18?? on it so possibly to soon for granddad. So it is possible g granddad George was in the Army 1871 I just need to cover all angles and cross them all off as and when I find them, then maybe one day I can safely say this is my family. Its going to be a long job but it will be worth it. I do appreciate your help. Irene |

Larid, no I have granddad's he was born in Guildford Castle Street, and mostly lived in Merrow. G granddad died in 1904 in Merrow. Not very helpful when I can't find his marriage cert. I am wondering if he ever did marry at least to g grandmother Rose Ricketts who is down as his house keeper in 1901, but in the 81 and 91 census she is down as wife, granddad George was in the Boar War I have his details and my cousin has his medals thats why he is missing from 1901. I am just going to see if I can find a Grigg, Griggs marriage. Irene |
