Help ~ Correct my Fam-Tree

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

William

William Report 9 May 2005 04:26

One of my Ancestors married twice. 1st wife 6 children, 2nd wife 3 children. My first entry for a child who belonged to the 2nd wife went listed (or I did listed it) with the 1st wife. Somehow I cannot seem to remove this child from the 1st wife. This child has wife and children. Message in Window say : ' Cannot delete relation who has more than one child or who has both parents and children ' Is there a way to correct my mistake. Thanks.

Two ways - delete the children first, then work up until you delete the child you have entered incorrectly, or download your tree into a PAF/Gedcom/Family tree programme, edit it then upload it again. If there aren't too many people, the first would be easier. Peter Auckland
