Just tried to order on-line from the GRO. It keeps telling me to give my DX address ...I haven';t got one..it wants me to enter a Country..but doesn't have England or GB in its list...it doesn't recognise my Password 'because it does not contain any numbers'...what am I doing wrong? Marjorie |

Marjorie Another lady was having problems earlier - someone advised her to go via 1837online rather than directly with GRO. Not sure if that helps? Debby |

Thankyou both. I haven't actually forgotten my password, must say I was a bit reluctant to give it, whats to stop 'them' getting into my Hotmail Box? Is it normal to have to give your password, I have never been asked for this - I normally order from Local Ros, but can't this time. Marjorie |

I have to give a password if via 1837online. Can't remember if I've ever ordered from GRO. Think I'll go though the local offices for some of mine - found them on localbmd as it really narrows the areas down - cut 5 possibles down to 1. Haven't actually ordered cert yet to prove my theory but it looks that way. Debby |

I have 19 certs to work through out of a list which originally had 32 on it. I have managed to ascertain, through the local RO, that thirteen are wrong (and it didn't cost me a penny lol). Looks as if I am going to have to work hard to get the other 19 - given up for today, will try again tomorrow, if no good, will just have to do it snail-mail - and hope they understand my complicated qualifiers - the Local ROs are well used to me and phone me up. Bet the GRO don't. Marjorie |

Marjorie I've just orderd some without any problems. You dont have to log on to order you can go in as a guest but then you have to type in your name address etc for each cert. if youve registered and got an account you can just logon but you would always have to give your password, then your address details should come up automatically. Hi Marjorie, You have to register with GRO. When you register you set up a user name & password, thats what they are asking for. Good Luck next time |
