Found at last - Don't give up looking

Just thought I would put on a note as I have at last found George James Hone on the 1881 Census. I have searched and searched, asked for help which I got from many kind people but no one could find him. I tried different variations of the name Hone and had virtually given up. Today I searched Howe and found whole family living in Poplar East London. Brilliant. Hooray. Just wanted to tell someone who would understand and also say don't give up, they are usually there somewhere. Pam.

Hi Pam I just read your message after I had put mine on. will keep trying, but flagging fast. Feel I have tried everything! Unfortunately the first names are all common ones so no help there either! Well done on your success! Cate :))

Cate, I had virtually given up and decided they had gone abroad! I have searched for months and months and it was so frustrating. Dont give up - I am sure you will find them. Pam.

Well done. I have had help on these boards this last week and a kind person found my PEAK family from Gloucestershire as LEAKE in Lancashire in 1881. As you say they are usually out there somewhere, - even if their locations surprise us.

Great encouragement - I have a few members of my family missing and I give up frequently. This is just the urge I needed to carry on Thankyou Tracey
