Not Again....Another Virus. HELP!!!!! - SORTED!

Thanks to ALL of you....panic over! The virus scan picked it up - called Bloodhound - so I followed the prompts to quarantine and delete. I've done a system restore on the computer, put it back to Friday evening as I know it was fine then. So we'll see how everything goes but just to be on the safe side, I've imported my confirmed tree into Genes and backed the rest up to floppy! Thanks again Lou

Thats a thought, if you have 2 e-mail accounts you could mail the file to yourself

I have no facility to back up. I don't have CD rewriter and everything is in PAF on my hard drive

It didn't give me the option to delete The Norton box came up saying that it had detected a virus and there was an OK button. I clicked on that and it said Access Denied The box disappeared and I have no idea what to do next Lou (panicking a bit now!)

1) Back up everything importent NOW 2) Which Norton product do you have 3) Has Norton quarentined the virus 4) Has norton asked you if you want to delete the virus

Norton has detected a virus on the system and I have no idea what to do about it. Can someone with a pooter brain talk me through it please? I lost everything 6 weeks ago with bagle (bagul??? Whatever!), I cannot lose it all again! Lou
