The info on early certs is much the same as later ones: Heading Entry Number Names of Bride and Groom Age at the Date of Marriage Marital Status Occupation Address Name and Occupation of the Father of the Bride / Groom Rest Of The Certificate Signatures Info about what is on birth, marriage & death certs and what it might mean is on the excellent site: http://home.*clara.net/dixons/Certificates/indexbd*.htm remove * to use. nell |

There is a column for both the bride & groom's fathers + their occupations. Whether those columns will be filled in is another matter Sam |

I am going to send for two marriage certificates but just want to find out what information will be on them (ie parents) as they are from quite a while ago, 1841 and 1852. |
