I'd get the full cert, it will have both parents' names which would help locate them in earlier censuses. nell |

I tried looking for this one(i believe) His birth cert says Stratford (part of London) and there isn't a James Taylor thats fits the discription on 1891 census. There are several that are possibles if i am remembering the correct one. poster only has the short birth cert - I think sending for the full one would help jess |

Hi Carol, Sorry: I'm not sure I understand. You say: 'have got his birth and death cert,' doesn't the birth certificate say when and where he was born (or is this a typo?). A slightly confused Stephen (so no change there). |

hi searching for a relative, have got his birth and death cert, but cannot find where he was born or date of birth to show that it is my relative. His name is common James Taylor and if he appears on the 1901 census I can't find him as don't know the above. Any idea how I can get hold of these things? Carol |
