Forgive me - I just needed a little moan ! Do you know how many thousand John Wilson's there are?? I have just spent about 4 solid hours and gone through EVERY John Wilson on 1837 on line looking for his death ! Done from 1921 to 1934 - EVERY page ! Cost me a fortune and HE ISN'T THERE !! I've given up !!!!!!!!!! - If he wasn't dead and I knew where to find him - I would kill him myself !!!!!!!! Dea x Hhhhhhhhhhhhhh - feel better now !!!!!!!! - gone to cook tea x

know how many there are! 2 are mine and it takes forever to find out anything. Even longer to convince myself it's 'my' John. All the best Rob

No Margaret - I didn't think you could save images on 1837 - I couldn't find anywhere to do it anyway. - Is there a way? Thank you for the offer Sherlock but I don't think help is possible. OMG ! - I just had an awful thought - Perhaps he DIDN'T die then - I was told Ethel's first husband died and she remarried but MAYBE they got a divorce? - I presume they had them between 1920 + 1934 - How do I follow up on that? My brain is dead - I also went through every marriage for her second husband from 1921 onwards - I eventually found that when I got to 1934. Luckily his name was Arundel (not as common as Wilson) but not so easy as you would think as he was born Herbert, died Herbert but married as THOMAS H. What a day!!!!! Dea x

Rob, If you have two of them - are you sure one of them isn't mine? Dea x

I've got one if not two name changes e.g. b. William Harold m. Harold William d. William Harold also b. ?? goodness only know as it's in ireland m. John William d. Jack Add in all the pet names the girls were called I've got no hope. However it took me 3 attempts each to see 2 marriage entrys and I knew the exact date of one. I'm sure it's there! If you haven't logged out of 1837 you should beable to veiw the pages again for free today. As for saving there should be a floppy disk symble on the left of the task bar

Hi Lunar, I've been back in and all my pages are still available to me without charging again but I haven't got a disk symbol anywhere that I can see. Dea x

Do you have the task bar to alter the zoom. On mine the icons are (from left to right): Save, print, Find, Pan, Select text, zoom on area, 100%, fit width, fit page, zoom in, zoom % box, zoom out, rotate left, rotate right, pevious image, next image, LIZARDTECH logo. If not right mouse click the image and scroll dow to 'save page as' to save the images

Thanks Lunar - I see what you are saying - I can do that on the other sites when I view an image. I thought you meant I could save the search to go back into all the pages later. If it did work on here I would have to go back into all my actual pags individually and save each one - As I have viewed over 200 pages today on that site - I don't think I will bother. !! I might try it next time. Thanks for the info. Dea x

Unfortunately not Rosalyn - I think he was born in Salford but his father Charles Henry was probably from Stockton, Durham. Dea x
