hi, does anyone on here have antivirus that they have got free on the web? if so, which one, and how good is it? the reason i ask is: i have norton and i don't feel like forking out money for it every 12 months! i renewed it last year, but don't have the cash this time. thanks.

I use AVG Free edition from www.grisoft.*com It automatically looks for updates every day (and runs a check every day). I suppose any antivirus seems good until the day it lets you down .... For a firewall I use Zone Alarm (free edition).

I used Norton for a couple of years until last month when my subscription ran out. It was ok but an absolute bas...rd to fix if anything went wrong. I am now trying Avast plus Spyware Blaster. I also have Spybot and Adaware which I run every month, or if I think something is odd.
