HI IM TRYING TO FIND INFO ON MY GRANDAD. I KNOW HE WAS BORN IN HUNGARY AND IM WANTING TO GET A BIRTH CERTIFICATE FOR HIM. IVE TRYED LOADS OF DIFFERENT WEBSITES BUT WITH NO LUCK. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW ID BE ABLE TO GET HOLD OF ONE?? MANY THANKS. RICKY. |

There is some info here http://www.()progenealogists(.)com/hungary/civil.htm If you go to google advanced and put civil records into exact phrase and hungary in the box above that, you will get quite a lot of hits. |

Ricky, I found someone to do look ups for me in Hungary. He came up with a copy of my gt gt grandfathers birth in Komarom. It cost me 50 euros and then he wanted another 150 to continue. Had my gt gt grandfather not been illegitimate I might have carried on but I decided the game wasn't worth the candle! I am positive that this chap is genuine. he has to travel considerable distances to the records offices - think he covers Germany as well. If you would like his e-mail addy then e-mail me directly.
