Where is Charlotte pre 1862, -Glos? Hereford? and

Daniel PEAK and Charlotte, formerly MEDLEY had twin sons in December 1862 in Herefordshire. They died at a few days old. I have Charlotte in 1871, 1891 1901 census, but where is she pre 1862. ...In census she is shown as b.c. 1837 in Newent, Gloucestershire..... Can anyone help with a birth or marriage, please?

Found a family of 'medley' newent, gloucs 1841 census- thomas medley/44/ag lab jane/45 hannah/13 sarah/11 john/8 harriet/5 emma/3 all born in county, living at boulsdon - this may be name of house. Searched for 'charlotte' in gloucs & hereford sorry nothing.

Gwyneth Have you found her on 1881? Is it possible she could have been mistranscribed as LEAKE. Husband is indicated as Daniel b 1837 in Forest of Dean Karen

Thank you all so much. LEAKE, - I hadn't thought of that variation but every thing here would fit with what I know, as Charlotte was remarried( to John HARDING) and in Ince in Makerfield in 1891. Thank you for the WEDLEY information. What do I record her as MEDLEY or WEDLEY, I wonder? I found a Daniel PEAK, a sawyer in America in 1880 on the the LDS site. Do you think it could be the same person?

With a lack of MEDLEYs but plenty of WEDLEYs on the LDS site in the right parish, I think you have found the reason why I wasn't finding information on Charlotte. I am very grateful for your help. Karen Would it be possible to post the 1861 information please?
