I am having great difficulty using the new enhanced census viewer. I contacted support and they sent me a link, which I used to download to my documents but when I go onto Ancestry it is still asking me to download it. anybody else having problems please? Chrissie |

I have had just the same problems with the file MFInstall.ex sent, though I had a downloaded copy of it with an extra 2e2. I find the automated responses and advice given by the support team (if there is an actual person out there) a waste of time and was told to phone an American phone number to get more help. I was quite happy being able to view and save images until they introduced this 'enhanced viewer'! They want me to take off my Window XP Firewall too. How useful is that? If anyone has the answer to this, please please put us out of our misery! |

Hi Frederick Thank you for your reply. At least it isn't just me then!! I'm afraid that I don't understand the technical side to it but hubby is trying to sort it out for me, so I will show him your reply. It doesn't sound as though it is worth sending another reply to them then as I have no intentions of phoning America. If we manage to sort anything out I will let you know. Chrissie |

p.s. Do you mean that they wanted you to take off your firewall permenantly or just whilst you install? |
