If you mean a complete indexing of all BMD's to date - then no I haven't found one either and would like to! - but Scotlands People have lots - statutory indexes of births from 1855 to 1904, marriages from 1855 to 1929 and indexes of deaths from 1855 to 1954, the old parish register indexes of births/baptisms and banns/marriages from 1553 to 1854 - Karen

As far as I am aware there is no free BMD for Scotland. You can search on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk but this is a pay site but not expensive. Another site is group.yahoo.com/group/scottishfamilytreeresearchers/ Good luck katrina Australia

All is not lost, you may want to try www.sctbdm.com a BDM exchange for Scotland

Oh and just remembered that familysearch.org does show births and marriages for Scotland upto 1875, it doesn't stop at 1855 as a lot expect. And with it you can search for all children by just specifying parents names in the search

You could try scotsorigins com for the LDS IGI - statutory records only started in 1855 in Scotland so before that you can look at scotsorigins first before spending your money on scotlandspeople
