could anyone please tell me what office i would need to go to ,too pick up some certs the area that i am looking for is stepney and bethnal green thankyou tracey

Hi, Some London offices are very busy and won't issue certs. Those that do only accept postal applications so it may be quicker to find the GRO reference and buy online from the ONS in Southport. It costs the same. Gwynne

Don't think tower Hamlets is one of the offices that won't deal in family history certs. They were VERY helpful when I phoned. I know Southwark won't deal, just referes to GRO.

Give them a ring first to ask. Some do, some don't. Lambeth certainly does and is very quick. Joy
