Jess and Jenny, thank-you both, I've found him on Freecen, he was an apprentice fisherman living with another family. But what do the letters Em'ee or Em'er mean? These are in brackets after the word fisherman! Any clues would be lovely. |

I am missing an ancestor who existed in 1881 and 1901. As his father was a Devonshire fisherman I am wondering if, at 19, he was at sea on the 1891 census night. Are these records on-line or do I have to trek to Kew (again) for this? Thank-you. |
