Hi Karen, What are the boys name, e-mail them and I will see if I can find anything, include a middle name if they have one. By the way Lou is right, my disk is the latest version info disk pro version 10, and only has the 2004 elecotral roll on it , don't think 2005 is available till late 2005 or 2006. Sheila

Derek - when I said 'they' I was meaning the new couple in the house. Thanks so much for looking, that address you found is the one I have. If you could give me the neighbours addresses I'll try them as well as phoning the old house back. Sheila - thanks for looking, at least I know there's no point me getting the 2004. Lou - thanks for the giving me the info. I've had a thought, on the family tree she sent me she lists her two sons, I had tried them on BT but as I'm not sure where they are its a bit hard. Do you think theres any chance of finding them instead? Karen

Karen, Have you tried BT's online directory service .... www2(.)bt(.)com/edq_resnamesearch?namespace=coexistence ... there are a couple of A COWANs listed. Regs Jane

As far as I know the most recent one available is the 2004. The 2005 wont be available until the end of the year or early next year Lou

Thanks so much, really appreciate all your replies and efforts. I'll try telephoning again to see if they can help at all. Is the 2005 electoral role available on line yet? if so which site is ok to use? I looked at 192 but they want around £60 for an annual sub and I only need the one name. Others I have found are around £5 but see many warnings against some of these so not sure which are ok and if they are 2005. Karen

Hi Karen and Lou, Just logged on, bad new is that I still have Anne down on both the 2003 and 2004 elecotoral roll at 'Glendale'. Just a though but you could ask the people living there if they know the estate agents adress, perhaps they would be willing to forward on a letter from you, or maybe a neighbour from there could have her new adress. Sorry I could not have been of mroe help. Good Luck Sheila

Depends if she owned or rented. Sometimes a landlord will insist on the number staying with the address

Thanks for the replies - I'm looking for Anne E Cowan in York. I hadn't thought about the phone number being the same as strange. They seemed genuine, they phoned me back when I'd called and they weren't in. The last letter I have is 2002 and they said she moved about 2 years ago. Karen

Karen The best I can suggest is to find Jess's adoption thread and find a posting by Sheila Molyneux. She's got the latest elec roll disc and will willingly look her up for you if you mail her. Sheila lives in Germany so may not answer straight away, not sure how much time she gets on the computer Lou

I posted a while asking for advice as to how to do find a living person. I've followed the advice but still not got any futher forward. I tried B4U search but my problem is that the person I am looking for moved about 2 years ago and her old address is coming up on most searches. Someone has kindly looked at 2002/03 for me too. Also posted a message on Alan's thread 60 Million Current but I think he is inundated and thought it might be best to look up myself. I have found a website called Locate First but having seen warnings wondered if this one was ok - anyone any experience with this site? For info the following is why I need to find this person - any help gratefully received; I have recently found a family on the 1841 census that I have been looking for for years. I made contact with a lady in 2001 who was also looking for the same family. I now want to contact her with the good news, (the census answers all sorts of queries). She didn't have email, but her letters to me have an address and phone number and before writing I phoned to check she was still there - she moved 2 years ago and the current owners don't have the forwarding address.
