This is quite a long story but my dad died over 30years ago and when he was a baby his mother was murdered and he was sent to live with various relatives, he didn't know much about his mother other than her name, his father remarried and I never knew him. With the help of lot's of people on this site I found his mother's dob and dod and told how to try to obtain a copy of her death certificate, from that I managed to obtain a copy of the inquest into her death, and I find that my dad had an older brother named George W Gates born about 1914 in Southwark at the time of the muder it say's he was in a convalesence home. I am now trying to find anything I can about George, can you possibly help!! |

hi Carol On ancestry I found that there are loads of 'Gates'. I put in surname and DOB and southwark and there are lots. Have you had a look there to see if any ring any bells? Vikki xx |

This is a duplicate of a post on RECORDS. The birth regn info for George was made available last week. Its further info that is sought. Try Electoral Roll info at relevant local Library or London/Surrey Archives ? |
