Thanks Kate. I got all excited thinking someone might be tracing the DUSOLIE tree, I seem to be the only one in the UK tracing it! Thanks though. Chloe

I don't know how you can find out who did the transcription, but it does look like a batch of marriage transcriptions all from St. Marylebone 1814-1817, judging by what you get back for the first 200 if you just enter the batch number and nothing else. So it looks as though it should be fairly reliable, not just somebody's imaginings! Kate.

Thanks Lisa and Nadir. The funny thing is some of the records for the church on online, obviously just not all of them because this one has popped up! It just gives the batch number, I was wondering if there was any way to find out the contributor with just the batch number??? Chloe x

Chloe, Does it give the subscriber's name? About 14 days ago, I wrote to the lady whose name is given as the subscriber, she has answered my letter and is still giving me lots of information. This has been confirmed by another of my contacts, who is able to give me their nicknames etc. Also, besides giving the name of the subscriber, it also gave me the number of the CD the information was on, I rang the LDS and the CDs are in packs of 5 for £17.50 including postage. Good luck with your research. June xx

Chloe, my dad used to volunteer for the LDS church (years ago). He was told that members of the church were still going around the world recording church records so it doesn't surprise me that you found a new one. I know one church in Essex has not allowed the LDS to record their records -- perhaps the LDS church is either just getting around to your ancestor's church, or they have allowed the LDS access. At any rate, congratulations. :~)

Yes, it does. Place is St Marylebone, London, England. It's such an uncommon surname I am sure that he is related to my tree. My ancestor, Thomas Dusolei would have been the same generation as this Peter's father. There is a Peter Dusolei having some children with an Elizabeth in the same area as my Thomas. I just wish there was a way of finding out who added it as it isn't from a parish record.

Chloe You are right - I too recently found someone on the IGI that I must have looked for ninety million times. Turns out it was a new transcription. Apparently they go on all the time! Does it give an actual place? Marjorie

I swear what I have just seen on the IGi was not there previously. I probably last checked the surname about 6 months ago. The surname is DUSOLIE. There is a marriage for a Peter Dusolie to a Mary Maria Charsley in 1816. This wasn't there before! How do I go about finding out who added this? Can anyone help? The batch number is I031448.
