My GGG Uncle Joseph Lloyd (born Avenbury, Herefordshire, 1838) is listed with his family in Acton (or Aston) Beauchamp, Worcs. Can anyone decipher the address please? It's ??????? Hill I think. Also the occupation of Hannah Lloyd, his wife. There seem to be other ladies on the page with the same occupation, but I cannot make it out at all. The reference is RG10/2710 and they are the first family on the page. Thanks kind people, :o) Sue xx

Pippin Mill? as for occupation- Gloveress? Whay ever it was every woman in the village were doing it and the aged one are down as former gloveress. Did the area make gloves? strange there are more than her doing it, and the job of someone who's husband it in quite menial occupation - maybe some local trade?

Sue Think it's Pippin Hill - the same as the ones below - was going to change it but changed his mind? Haven't a clue with the occupation - ends in ---ress? Can make out the scholars further down but nothing else! Debby

Thanks all of you. I thought it was governess at first, but who would they all govern? There can't have been enough work for all those governesses! Maybe there was/is a glove making industry in the area. I'll have to investigate further. Pippin Hill looks the best bet for the address. Thanks - I'll go and google now :o) Sue xx
